A/R funding for the crews that keep the lines clear.
Utility vegetation management A/R funding turns the invoices you bill to an electric utility, a line-clearance prime, a county or a state agency into immediate working capital, so payroll, fuel and equipment are covered while you wait on their payment cycle. Your crews are paid weekly. Your customer pays on Net-30+ terms, or when it gets paid.
To qualify for same day funding, complete paperwork must be submitted by the 1:00 p.m. CT cutoff time M-F. All funding is subject to initial application approval.
The right-of-way is cleared. The invoice waits on someone else’s cycle.
Utility vegetation management A/R funding, also called invoice factoring, is the sale of an approved invoice for completed tree, line-clearance or storm work in exchange for an immediate cash advance. You receive a large portion of the invoice up front, and the remainder (less one fee) when your customer pays. A/R funding isn’t a loan.
The money in this business flows down a chain. The utility or the county pays the prime on its terms; the prime pays its subcontractors on its own. A line-clearance circuit, a storm roster or a fuel-reduction job is billed after the work is done and paid weeks later, while climbers, bucket trucks, chippers and per diem are due from the first day. A/R funding closes that gap on the invoices you have already earned.
The crews are paid weekly. The utility pays on Net-30+.
Line clearance is recurring contract work for investor-owned utilities, cooperatives and municipal systems, usually run through a handful of large primes who subcontract regional crews. Storm restoration and wildfire mitigation ride on top of that base, with mobilizations that start before anyone has invoiced.
Meanwhile crew payroll, fuel, equipment, lodging and per diem run weekly. When the prime pays when it gets paid, and the utility pays on its own terms, that gap lands on you. Integra closes it without adding debt, pledging your fleet or renegotiating the contract you worked to win.

If you do the work and bill a utility, a prime, a government agency or a commercial customer on their terms, Integra can fund it. The facility is structured to match how you bill, whether by unit, by mile, by crew-day or by load ticket.
Power-line clearance crews
Line-clearance and right-of-way crews on recurring utility contracts, billing the utility or its prime by unit, mile or crew-day.
Storm response crews
Tree and line crews on storm rosters and mutual-aid callouts, billing utilities, primes and municipalities on time-and-equipment or unit rates.
Hurricane & disaster debris
Tree removal, hauling and grinding crews on county debris contracts and FEMA-funded missions, billing the prime or the local government by load ticket.
Wildfire mitigation
Fuel-reduction, defensible-space and hazard-tree crews on utility wildfire programs and state, county and federal contracts.
We do not fund invoices paid by insurance carriers or homeowners. Billing a federal, state or county agency directly? See FEMA & government contractors.
Financing the bucket trucks, chippers and grinders too?
Integra now finances the equipment behind the work, from the same team that funds your receivables. Term loans, finance leases and sale-leasebacks from $500,000 to $10 million. Subject to credit approval.
From invoice to funded, same day.
A/R funding is not a loan. You are advancing cash on invoices you have already earned — not borrowing against them.
Apply and get approved
Submit the short form. Approval depends primarily on your customers’ credit: the utility, prime, county or agency you bill. Free credit checks confirm your customers before you commit.
Onboarding and setup
You provide standard documents and sign the agreement. We send a notice of assignment to each customer as your contract requires (for federal contracts, under the Assignment of Claims rules in FAR 32.8), set up your account, and introduce your specialists.
Submit invoices, get paid
Upload approved invoices with the unit sheets, crew-day reports or load tickets your customer pays on. We verify and advance the funds the same business day when submitted before the cutoff. Your customer pays Integra on its own terms; you receive the remainder less one fee.
A bank division that understands utility and prime-contractor billing.
Built for subcontractors to the large primes
We fund subcontractors to the major line-clearance and debris primes, subject to the prime’s subcontract terms and its acknowledgment of the assignment. We read the payment clause, any pay-when-paid language and the invoice support your customer requires before the first advance, so you know up front which invoices are fundable and how payment will flow.
Notices of assignment go to the right office in the form your contract requires.
Backed by bank capital, not an outside line
Your facility is backed by bank capital, not an outside credit line that tightens after a quiet storm season or when one prime makes up most of your receivables.
Federal regulatory oversight and bank-examination standards are not typical of an independent A/R funding company. That matters to the utilities and primes that pay you.
Sized for crews, not a single invoice
A regional contractor running twenty or two hundred crews can fund a season’s worth of line-clearance invoices and a storm roster on the same facility. Customer concentration is reviewed at setup rather than discovered at the first large invoice.
No volume minimums, and you choose which invoices to fund. Use Integra for the slow payors and leave the rest alone.

Answers to your utility vegetation management A/R funding questions.
The questions we hear most from line-clearance and storm contractors. If yours is not here, call Mark directly.
What is utility vegetation management A/R funding?
It is the sale of an approved invoice for completed tree, line-clearance or storm work in exchange for an immediate cash advance. You receive a large portion of the invoice up front and the remainder, less one fee, when your customer pays. It is used by line-clearance, storm-response and wildfire-mitigation contractors waiting on utilities, primes and agencies. It is not a loan.
I am a subcontractor to a large line-clearance prime. Can you fund those invoices?
In many cases, yes. We fund subcontractors to the major line-clearance and debris primes, subject to the prime’s subcontract terms and its acknowledgment of the assignment. We review the payment clause, any pay-when-paid language and the prime’s credit before setting up the facility, so you know which invoices are fundable before you commit.
Do you fund invoices to electric utilities and cooperatives directly?
Yes. Approval depends primarily on your customer’s credit, and an investor-owned utility, cooperative or municipal system is usually a strong account debtor. We run a free credit check on each customer and review the contract’s assignment and payment terms at setup.
One utility or prime is most of my receivables. Is that a problem?
It is a question we answer at setup rather than at the first large invoice. Concentration in a single strong account debtor is common in this business; we review it with the customer’s credit and your contract terms and structure the facility accordingly.
Do you fund invoices paid by insurance carriers or homeowners?
No. Integra does not fund receivables paid by insurance carriers, homeowners or assignment-of-benefits claims. Our program funds invoices billed to utilities, prime contractors, government agencies and commercial customers.
Can you fund county, FEMA-funded or federal contract invoices?
Yes, in most cases. A county, city or state agency is often a strong account debtor even while it waits on FEMA reimbursement. Federal contract payments can be assigned to a bank or other financing institution under the Assignment of Claims rules (FAR 32.8); we handle the notice with you.
Can I get set up before storm season or the next program year?
Yes, and we recommend it. Setup is a one-time step: you send standard documents and your customer list, we confirm your customers’ credit, and the account is ready before the mobilization starts. Once the facility is in place, approved invoices submitted before the 1 PM CT cutoff fund the same business day.
How much does utility vegetation management A/R funding cost?
Pricing is a custom quote. It depends mainly on who your customers are, how long they take to pay and your monthly invoice volume. Reach out with a few details and have your A/R aging and customer list handy; that is everything we need to come back with a quote. No obligation.
