Wildfire mitigation A/R funding

Wildfire mitigation A/R funding. For the crews cutting the fuel before the fire.

Wildfire mitigation A/R funding turns the invoices you bill to a utility wildfire program, a state or county agency or a federal land manager for fuel reduction, defensible space and hazard-tree removal into immediate working capital, so crews and equipment are covered while you wait on their payment cycle.

What wildfire mitigation A/R funding is

The fuel break is cut. The invoice is waiting on a program office.

Wildfire mitigation A/R funding, also called invoice factoring, is the sale of an approved invoice for completed fuel-reduction, clearance or hazard-tree work in exchange for an immediate cash advance. You receive a large portion of the invoice up front, and the remainder (less one fee) when your customer pays. A/R funding isn’t a loan.

Utility wildfire-mitigation plans, state fuels programs and county and federal contracts have turned mitigation into year-round contract work, much of it run through primes who subcontract regional crews by acre, by mile or by tree. The program pays on its schedule; the prime pays on its own. A/R funding closes that gap on the work you have already completed.

Why wildfire mitigation is built for A/R funding

Fire season is seasonal. Mitigation is not.

Utilities in fire-prone states now run enhanced vegetation management, hazard-tree and pole-clearing programs year-round under plans reviewed by state regulators, and states and counties fund fuel breaks and defensible-space work through grants and contracts. The crews that do it are paid by unit, acre or mile, after inspection, on the payer’s terms.

Meanwhile crews, masticators, chippers, fuel and per diem run weekly, and a wildfire mitigation contractor often carries one program or one prime as most of its receivables. Integra advances on the invoices you have already earned, without adding debt or pledging your equipment.

Who we fund

Wildfire mitigation contractors we fund.

If you reduce fuel, clear lines or remove hazard trees and bill a utility, a prime or a government agency on their terms, Integra can fund it. The facility is set up around how your customer pays, by acre, by mile, by tree or by crew-day.

How wildfire mitigation A/R funding works at Integra

From invoice to funded, same day.

A/R funding is not a loan. You are advancing cash on invoices you have already earned — not borrowing against them.

01
Step 1

Apply and get approved

Submit the short form. Approval depends primarily on your customers’ credit: the utility, prime, county or agency you bill. Free credit checks confirm your customers before you commit.

02
Step 2

Onboarding and setup

You provide standard documents and sign the agreement. We send a notice of assignment to each customer as your contract requires (for federal contracts, under the Assignment of Claims rules in FAR 32.8), set up your account, and introduce your specialists.

03
Step 3

Submit invoices, get paid

Upload approved invoices with the inspection sign-offs, acreage or unit sheets or tree tallies your customer pays on. We verify and advance the funds the same business day when submitted before the cutoff. Your customer pays Integra on its own terms; you receive the remainder less one fee.

Why wildfire mitigation contractors choose Integra

A bank division that understands program and prime billing.

01

Built for program billing and prime subcontracts

We fund subcontractors to the major line-clearance primes, subject to the prime’s subcontract terms and its acknowledgment of the assignment, and we review the inspection and unit documentation a program pays on before the first advance.

Notices of assignment go to the right office in the form your contract requires, including the contracting officer on federal work.

02

Backed by bank capital, not an outside line

Your facility is backed by bank capital, not an outside credit line that tightens when one program is most of your book.

Federal regulatory oversight and bank-examination standards are not typical of an independent A/R funding company.

03

Set up for the program year, funded as you invoice

Setup is a one-time step. Once the facility is in place you invoice into it as units are inspected and approved, and concentration in a single program or prime is reviewed at setup.

No volume minimums, and you choose which invoices to fund.

Common questions

Answers to your wildfire mitigation A/R funding questions.

The questions we hear most from mitigation contractors. If yours is not here, call Mark directly.

What is wildfire mitigation A/R funding?

Wildfire mitigation A/R funding is the sale of an approved invoice for completed fuel-reduction, clearance or hazard-tree work in exchange for an immediate cash advance. You receive a large portion of the invoice up front and the remainder, less one fee, when your customer pays. It is not a loan.

Do you fund invoices on utility wildfire-mitigation programs?

Yes. Approval depends primarily on your customer’s credit, and an investor-owned utility is usually a strong account debtor. If you work through a prime, we fund the subcontract subject to the prime’s terms and its acknowledgment of the assignment.

Can you fund state, county or federal fuels contracts?

Yes, in most cases. State and county agencies and fire districts are reviewed on their credit and contract terms. Federal contract payments can be assigned to a bank or other financing institution under the Assignment of Claims rules (FAR 32.8); we handle the notice with you.

We do defensible-space work for homeowners. Is that fundable?

No. Integra does not fund receivables paid by homeowners or insurance carriers. The same defensible-space work billed to a county, fire district, utility or agency program is eligible.

What do I need to submit with each invoice?

Usually the invoice plus the support your customer pays on, such as inspection sign-offs, acreage or unit sheets, tree tallies or crew-day reports. We confirm the exact package with you at setup.

How much does wildfire mitigation A/R funding cost?

Pricing is a custom quote. It depends mainly on who your customers are, how long they take to pay and your invoice volume. Reach out with a few details and have your A/R aging and customer list handy; that is everything a custom quote needs. No obligation.
